Champasak Province - Wat Phu

Wat Phu is a historically rich site going back to the 5th century A.D.

Although there is much resemblance to other Cambodian and Khmer religious compounds such as Angkor Wat, there is a significant difference in how the compound presents itself and in the natural landscape in which Wat Phu was built.
