A large staircase takes you up to the top of this hill site location in Luang Prabang. There you will be rewarded with incredible views of the town as well as beautiful temples awaiting you at top.

Bring Lots of Bottled Water on Hot Days

The trip up the stairs is challenging during the peak of the day. Arriving in the morning or late afternoon makes the trip easier and may result in a more scenic town backdrop due to the more comfortable daylight.

Temples and cannons?

As you feel serenity encompassing your body at the top of Phu Si hill, you may be somewhat shocked to see a cannon! This is an anti aircraft cannon that serves as a reminder of past struggles. It is used today as a harmless toy for the kids to play with.
